Film and Food pairing at Oaken Grove Vineyard
The next film in line for our Friday Vineyard Club in the outdoor cinema, will be The Olive Tree, at Oaken Grove on Friday 21st August. As part of the Spanish theme for the evening, we will be serving paella from the Valencian Supper Club. Included in the ticket price is a glass of wine on arrival.

The Olive Tree is a film by the Spanish director Icíar Bollaín and stars Anna Castillo and Javier Gtierrez with Pep Ambros. The film explores the strong relationship between Alma, a 20 year old local girl and her grandfather whom she adores. It follows how Anna decides to help to bring back her grandfather's lost speech by finding the olive tree that their family sold against her grandfather's will.
The Olive Tree has an age classification of 15 and contain strong language and will be shown with English sub-titles. Running time 100 minutes. It was shortlisted as one of three films submitted for Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards.
