Thank You & January announcement

Dear Shiplake Community,

We just wanted to extend a belated THANK YOU to Mark and Carol for including us in their recent Christmas at The Corner Shop. It was so lovely to see some familiar faces, as well as introduce The Plough to the wider community.

We also want to thank all of those who donated to The Cowshed, as part of our food tasting and voucher raffle. We raised £49 for the charity and have donated £149 in honour of the day.

Congratulations to Sue, who won a £100 voucher for The Plough.

We are of course very excited about the Christmas season. We really hope you’ll join us on Wednesday 6 December from 5:30pm for our 1^st Anniversary Pub Quiz. The cost is £5 per person and all proceeds will be donated to The Cow Shed. We will be celebrating our milestone all week with special dishes, bringing back some of your favourites, as well as having live music Saturday afternoon (9^th December) from 4pm.

We’re also looking forward to a wonderful start to 2024. We will be bringing back our £22 lunch special. And we will also be launching our Friendship Lunch series. The first Wednesday of every  month (and hopefully more often if it proves popular) we will be hosting Table 10 Lunches, where you can book a place on “Table 10” and you can enjoy lunch with other guests who are also looking for some fun and interesting company. We hope it’s a chance to meet some new people or reconnect with faces you haven’t seen in a little while.
