Agendas, Meetings & Minutes

The Parish Council meets at the Memorial Hall on the 2nd Monday of every month except August starting at 7:45pm. (For a list of dates for 2017 see here.) A public session is on the agenda at each meeting, enabling members of the public to bring specific issues to the council's attention; requests can be made to the Parish Clerk, prior to council meetings, for time to present any such issues. Agendas for Parish Council meetings are made available several days prior to the meeting and displayed on Council notice boards and on this website. Minutes of meetings are published on this website as soon as possible after approval at the subsequent meeting.

Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting (APM) is generally scheduled for the Spring of each year with details displayed on Council notice boards and on this website. The 2017 Annual Parish Meeting (APM) took place on Wednesday 24th May at the Shiplake Memorial Hall. See further details below.

Strong 'Turn out' & Healthy Debate at APM

 

Many thanks to all the residents who attended the Annual Parish Meeting and contributed to the debate on the BIG issues facing the villages. Our thanks also to John Howell (MP) for his contributions and support on a number of fronts....objections to the proposed development at Thames Farm, working with the Chilterns Conservation Board  to review the local AONB and for the possibility of a cycle path alongside the railway track between Shiplake and Henley. 

The efficacy of school Academies at a local level in primary schools was strongly debated, in response to which John promised to provide evidence supporting the initiative, which we will be publish on our website. So too will the update on the branch line electrification project.
