Baskerville Lane Street Party

“There are so many new people in Baskerville Lane, let’s have a street party to get to know them.” So Clare McCarthy and her helpers, Angela Jones, Susan Walker, Jennie Rechner, Viv Mitchell  and Helen Woods-Ballard got organising and on 15th September her suggestion was put into practice.

The party was hosted at Little Timbers, and Pimms and hot dogs were provided, as well as cakes and sandwiches brought by those attending. Representatives for almost all the households in Baskerville Lane attended, including our oldest and much-loved resident Bill Wyatt.

Garden Party in aid of OXSAR

The "End of Summer" Garden Party in aid of OXSAR (Oxfordshire Lowlands Search and Rescue) took place on Sunday 29th July at 2.30pm  at River Lawn, Mill Lane Shiplake.

The rain cleared by around 2pm - and there was plenty of cover anyway! Parking was in the field the other side of the railway bridge.

Beryl and family would like to thank you for all your wonderful support at our Garden Party on such a soggy Sunday too. We raised £1,130 for the Oxfordshire Search and Rescue charity.  We couldn't  have done this without all your kindness.

Our sincere thanks from the Lawson Family.
