Neighbourhood Planning Group - Meeting Minutes

Would someone kindly link me to where the Neighbourhood Planning Group meeting minutes and agendas are published?

Mr Pheasant. I am sure this will be appreciated if full Steering Group minutes are unavailable. Thank you for your helpful response and suggestion.

Appreciating the point that minutes of meetings are delayed due to requirements for formal approval, I am very happy to publish a copy of the neighbourhood plan updates after presentation at parish council meetings. I trust this helps everyone to keep up to date with developments as the plan moves into its final stages.

Mr Wright, you may also like to note that the SG's governance terms of reference now posted online, are such that all sites identified were required to be cleared via the PC before anything might be released to others. As such putting minutes on line would not in any event have been practical or possible. There are many Steering Groups up and down the Country and a huge number of different ways of managing the processes. They all have their pros and cons.

Thank you. The problem with relying on PC minutes for NP progress is that their publishing is delayed, possibly in excess of 6 wks from a NP Meeting and they lack the level of detail of NP meeting minutes. This restricts residents’ ability to help shape the plan. I note other villages post their NP Meeting minutes online. For example:
http://ewelmeneighbourhoodplan.org/minutes.htm
http://ws-pc.org/minutes/
Is there a particular reason our NP Meeting minutes cannot be published?

A forum response is probably not the best way to reference governance requirements....apologies for any confusion caused. For clarity, updates to the PC are not 'comments' but minuted succinct statements on progress of the NP, inclusive of information on important financial aspects. The Steering Group of resident volunteers uses minutes and action pts. as a means of tracking and allocating resources to ensure it is meeting the project's objectives. They are not intended for publication.

Forgive me if I do not understand your response or if I was not clear. I was not seeking NP comments made at the PC Meetings. I was seeking copies of the minutes taken at NP Group Meetings. Presumably these have been made available after each meeting?

In accordance with the governance procedures agreed by the parish council, updates on the progress of the NP are provided for all monthly parish council meetings and are part of published council meeting minutes. My next update is on 5th Feb.I will ask for the governance procedures to be included on the NP Q & A section for ease of reference. Minutes of NP meetings are held along with 'NP evidence base' material in preparation for NP consultation & submission.
