Support Groups

Do you, or any of your family or friends, attend or receive support from any local groups? Under Community / Support Groups we already list Oxfordshire MIND and the Henley Citizens Advice Bureau. We would welcome details of other groups that you know of, and who have helped people in this area.

The Age UK Community Information Network exists to provide information on local support services and activities, money matters and social care. http://www.ageuk.org.uk/oxfordshire/com

Whether you want to meet people, get help at home, find out about benefits and support, discover a computer or exercise class, or volunteer in your local community the Community Information Network is there to help.

There is a county wide organisation called Carers Oxfordshire. The website (http://www.carersoxfordshire.org.uk/cms/) provides a wealth of information about what is available for carers, for example the (free) Emergency Carers Support Service and information about benefits and grants. There is also a dedicated page for Henley (http://www.carersoxfordshire.org.uk/cms/content/henley-thames) which lists the support groups that meet in Henley.
